Malaysia Apr Factory Output Likely +1.2% On-Yr-Poll

PREVIEW: Malaysia's April factory output likely rose 1.2% on-year helped by robust local demand, according to the median estimate of 13 analysts polled by Dow Jones Newswires. Industrial production in March expanded 0.6% on-year. Lingering global uncertainty following the euro zone's debt woes cloud prospects for Malaysian exports, which in turn would limit scope for any sharp rise in factory output in the next few months, economists say. The data are due 0401 GMT.
