Biggest Week for ABS, Europe Corp Debt in 3 Years

It's been the biggest week in 3 years for global ABS and European corporate-debt issuance, according to Thomson Reuters. There's been $11.6B of ABS this week, putting the year's total up 40% from 2011 at $216.6B, as the US' $160.8B is already more than the $137.4B issued all of last year there. JPMorgan (JPM) leads the ABS underwriter rankings, with 13% share. In Europe, corporate-debt issuance excluding financial companies was $20.5B this week, putting the year-to-date growth at 58%. BNP Paribas (BNP.FR) leads the underwriter rankings there with 7.4% share.
