HUF weakens vs EUR after a key minister's comments about the IMF/EU. EUR/HUF is at 283.64 versus 282.66 in late trading on Monday. Mihaly Varga, Hungary's minister leading talks with the EU/IMF on a package for Hungary, in a statement Tuesday has failed to say exactly when talks with the IMF will commence, again increasing uncertainties around the subject. EUR/HUF is expected to trade sideways near term, a trader at Buda Cash says, seeing 285 as the next strong resistance level in case of HUF weakening.
