Israel's GDP is expected to slow this year, and the country is focusing on increasing investments instead of spurring consumption as a path to recovery, Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz says at a conference in New York organized by The Wall Street Journal. The country also has shifted its export focus from Europe to developing nations like India and China. Steinitz says the current, weaker levels of the shekel are supportive of Israel's export competitiveness.
