The Turkish lira could come under renewed pressure after it benefited less from the Fed's move last week than other emerging-markets currencies, while the dollar-lira/euro-lira currency basket remained mostly unchanged at 2.0720, underperforming emerging-market peers, Turk Ekonomi Bankasi says. "We think the recent global central bank moves added to the chances that CBRT hikes reserve option coefficients in the MPC meeting tomorrow and this may introduce a renewed underperformance pressure on TRY," it notes. USD/TRY currently trades at 1.7965, compared with 1.7919 late Friday.
