USD/JPY Rises On Expectations For More BOJ Easing

The USD/JPY rises as some non-Japanese investors buy the pair on expectations that the BOJ may take some easing steps at the two-day meeting ending Friday, says a senior dealer at a major bank in Tokyo. "It's relatively big flows by some non-Japanese investors," he says, adding that Tokyo market participants are not expecting much from the BOJ on Friday. The pair is at its two-week high of 78.64, with some investors options gamma-long, the pair's upside will be limited, he says. The EUR/JPY is also at its two-week high of 101.65.
