In the year after their separation actors Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher announced plans for a new foundation for the fight against human trafficking. On Thursday , the former couple announced that their joint organization founded in 2009, Demi and Ashton Foundation (DNA) now as Digital Defenders of Children ( THORN ) new with a different focus to go to the start.
Previously they had fought against global sex trafficking of children, now they wanted to specifically tackle the growing role of new technologies in these crimes, it said in the statement. They would cooperate with large companies like Microsoft, Facebook, Google and Twitter.
Last November, the couple had broken up after six years of marriage. For Moore in January followed by a collapse and emergency hospitalization. Kutcher has been in recent months alongside his colleague Mila Kunis seen.
