Sica Wealth Mgt Will Buy More USD if Romney Wins

Jeffrey Sica, who manages more than $1 billion in assets for Morristown, N.J.-based Sica Wealth Management, says he plans to increase his long dollar positions against the yen and euro if Romney wins the presidential election. His reasoning: Romney will likely replace current Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke with someone who's less inclined to ease monetary policy, which would give the dollar a boost in the long run. The Fed's latest round of quantitative easing, announced Sept 13, is generally expected to weaken the dollar. Sica says he wouldn't change anything in his portfolio if Obama wins. USD/JPY last at 80.28, flat on the day; EUR/USD at 1.2817, up 0.2% on the day.
