PREVIEW: Taiwan's October industrial output likely expanded 2.80% from a year earlier compared with September's 3.0% expansion, according to the median forecast of 12 economists in a Dow Jones poll. Economists say stocking activity ahead of the year-end holiday season likely gave factory output and orders a small nudge, but the boost was inflated by base effects after the euro-zone crisis hurt output last year. Taiwan's industrial output rose just 1.0% in the same period last year. The government is scheduled to release the data Friday at 0800 GMT.
