The Hungarian forint leads emerging-market currency losses in preholiday trade, falling to its weakest level against the euro since June. The decline breaks it out of a loose band of HUF277-290/euro it has largely traded within since October. Light volume could be contributing to the market's volatility, traders note. The euro is at HUF291.89, versus HUF289.83 late Friday, according to CQG.
