Taiwan Govt Bonds Mostly Up;10-Yr Yld Floor At 1.16%

Taiwan government bonds are mostly higher, tracking Tuesday's strength in U.S. Treasurys, says a local trader. He notes, however, the bond market is paring some early gains as the local stock market is turning higher after losses at the open. He adds, trading is thin as the market will likely seek cues from a new five-year bond auction on Thursday. The most-traded 10-year yield is at 1.1675% vs 1.1690% late Tuesday in Taipei; the trader tips the yield in a 1.1600%-1.1700% band for the session. The five-year bond yield is at 0.9065% from 0.9055% late Tuesday. The Taiex is up 0.4% after falling 0.2% earlier.
