Investor Inflows to Continue Supporting CAD -Citi

July securities flow data showed a bounce in international investor activity in Canada, with C$6.7B of Canadian securities acquired. But looking over the past 12 months, Citi's Greg Anderson says there's an average "moderate-sized inflow" of about C$5B per month coming into Canada. While commodities and investor sentiment may be drivers of daily CAD volatility, Anderson says the positive inflows in the background are important and suggest CAD should be well supported, at a minimum, over the medium term. USD/CAD little-changed on day at 0.9747, according to CQG.
