Alberta's energy minister Ken Hughes says Canada's move to impose stricter rules on investments in the oilpatch by foreign state-owned enterprises has the potential to "add one more little slice of cost of production" in his province. Hughes, who was speaking at a conference in Calgary, says Alberta is already a high-cost place to do business. "We don't need a lot more cost drivers built into the system. That might be one of the challenges that over time we might face," he said.
